Chatra: The last rites of Shankar Ravidas, the manager of a petrol pump who was shot dead on Tuesday, were performed at Kutumsukari village in Ichak.
On the complaint of the deceased's wife, Babita Devi, the police registered a case. After killing Ravidas, the assailant escaped with around Rs 11 lakh which the former was carrying to deposit in the bank. The pump owner gave Rs 50,000 in cash to the deceased's wife. An additional payment of Rs 3 lakh would be made, they said. TNN
