Bhool Chuk Maaf box office day 6: Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer comedy drama crosses the Rs. 40 crore mark

Directed by Karan Sharma and headlined by Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, the latest comedy drama ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ continues to maintain a steady pace at the box office. Although the weekdays have seen a drop in business after the opening weekend, the movie has managed to cross the Rs. 40 crore mark in 6 days, according to the Sacnilk report.

The early estimates show that on Wednesday, which was day 6 for the movie, the movie was able to mint Rs. 3.25 crore, which is a drop from the day 5 collection (Thursday), when the film made a business of Rs. 4.75 crore. As we speak, ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ as of now has made a business of Rs. 40.50 crore in India.

'Bhool Chuk Maaf'

The film centers on Ranjan, portrayed by Rajkummar Rao, who is a young man infatuated with Titli, a girl from Banaras played by Wamiqa Gabbi. To win her hand in marriage, he diligently strives to land a government job, but he breaks a vow he made to Lord Shiva and soon finds himself ensnared by fate until he can rectify his mistake.

The movie has been getting good reviews from the critics and the audience. As far as the ETimes review is concerned, with a rating of 3 out of 5 stars, it says - “The first half takes a bit too long to get to the point with innumerable songs added for no rhyme or reason. Humour is largely clean and safe if you excuse the occasional ‘tatti jokes’. It’s the second half that changes the game. It is here that the film addresses growing apathy, isolated existence, and self-centric living.”
