Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha found herself at the center of online criticism after a video of her from the International Day of Yoga celebrations in Mumbai went viral.
The clip shared by TellyChakkar, shows the actress asking a woman volunteer to untie her shoelaces. Netizens considered this act unnecessary and disrespectful.

In the video, when one volunteer begins untying her shoes, the actress shifts to the side and then points to the other shoe, signaling for the laces to be undone as well.

Social media users slammed the actress for what they saw as elitist behavior. One comment read, "Like really she has come to do yoga but she can't bend and take her shoe off like WOW." Another one wrote, "Why someone else have to remove her shoe she herself can do it if she is that fit." A third one wrote, "Why she two people to remove her shoes...and she s going to do yoga????"
Another comment read, "Hey ma mataji .. ye fitness level h inks ki na mat khud bicha sakti h .. na shoes khud khol sakti h .. dusra koi inke shoes khol rha h to bhi kisi ne hath pkda hua h gor support ..isse zyada fitness to mere 2cyears."
Nushrratt on yoga and her recent work
Before the controversy erupted, Nushrratt was seen speaking positively about yoga during the same event. In a statement to ANI, she said, “Yoga is very energising. If it becomes part of your daily routine, it’s perfect for your mind, body, and soul.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Nushrratt was last seen in 'Chhorii 2', directed by Vishal Furia. The horror drama, which premiered on April 11, features an ensemble cast including Soha Ali Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Pallavi Ajay.
