Actress Rashami Desai played a cameo in Wagle Ki Duniya where she played a mother's role. While in the past many actresses have declined playing mother on screen, Rashami is comfortable playing the role if it justifies the story.
Sharing her thoughts about playing an on-screen mother, the Uttaran actress says, "Earlier I also had such thoughts of not wanting to play a mother or a bhabhi's role on TV. But as time went by and I understood things better, I realised that all this was just a myth. There is nothing wrong in playing a mother on TV."
She further adds, "With my journey, I realised that I played a mother in one of my earlier shows as well, which did well. People also say that you are young to play mother, but I feel that the story should be good. I just want to do good work, the script and content are king. So other things don't matter. I want to focus on the craft and do quality work."
The actress has been actively doing regional films and sharing her thoughts about it in an earlier interview, she said, "Doing regional films gives me a wider space to explore more as an actor and in current times that space has some great stories to tell. I have bigger dreams and I am working towards fulfilling them one by one."
