Srinidhi Shetty, a South actress, made her acting debut in 2018 with the hit Kannada film KGF: Chapter 1. Although her first role was criticized by some as being insignificant, she wasn’t bothered. She knew her character, Reena Desai, Rocky’s (played by Yash) strong-willed girlfriend, played a key part in the story.

No Regrets About Her Role in KGF

In a chat with PTI, Srinidhi expressed that she had no issue with her role in KGF, despite some calling it insignificant. For her, it was a dream project, and she was excited to be part of it, regardless of the size of her role. She acknowledged that it’s a personal choice—some might embrace such roles, while others might not.

A Shift in Perspective for Future Roles

However, Srinidhi’s perspective has evolved. She shared that if offered a similar “flowerpot” role in future projects, she would carefully consider the decision. Factors like her co-actor and her screen time would influence her choice. While her first role was a conscious decision, she believes there’s no right or wrong in such choices.

Acknowledging KGF's Impact on Her Career

The 32-year-old actress, who later appeared in the Tamil thriller Cobra alongside Vikram, acknowledged that her fame stemmed from KGF. However, she admitted feeling a bit disappointed, saying it didn't lead to as many opportunities as she had hoped. Despite this, she remains grateful for KGF, as it brought her recognition, fame, and affection in the industry.

Staying Grounded Despite Success

Srinidhi emphasized that the success of her debut film didn’t alter who she is. She shared that everything happens in its own time, and she takes her own pace when deciding which projects to pursue. Despite the film's success, she remains the same person she always was.

Currently, Srinidhi is preparing for the release of HIT: The Third Case, starring actor Nani. In this action thriller directed by Sailesh Kolanu, she will portray the character Mrudula. HIT 3 is set to release in theatres on May 1.
