The match will witness an exciting contest between RR's in-form England pacer Jofran Archer and RCB's attacking opening pair of Phil Salt and Virat Kohli .

Archer has been consistently clocking in the high 140s kmph and produced a decisive bowling performance, taking 3/25 against Punjab Kings. His pace, accuracy accounted for Punjab skipper Shreyas Iyer, and he also dismissed Shubman Gill in RR's match against Gujarat Titans.

Kohli, who has scored 186 runs so far, and Salt (143 runs) will present another challenge to Archer, who once again will have to be at the top of his game to outskill the RCB duo.

Kohli's performance this season has been inconsistent, despite scoring two fifties. However, having the aggressive Salt, who can attack from the first delivery, as his partner has allowed the former India captain to play with measured aggression.

RCB will also rely heavily on captain Rajat Patidar, who is currently in excellent form, while Tim David and Liam Livingstone provide powerful finishing capabilities in the middle and lower order

RCB, yet to secure an IPL title, possess a formidable pace attack led by Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, although their spin department requires more consistency in their performances.

The Rajasthan side aims to bounce back from their disappointing performance against GT, where they managed only 159 runs before being dismissed.

Their batting lineup boasts considerable strength, featuring Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana in the top order, while the hard-hitting pair of Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer provide big-hitting options lower down the order.
