Diamondbacks placed second baseman Ketel Marte on a 10-day injured listFrom placing an athlete on the injured list to the underperformance of one of the most esteemed players, every major league season comes with its own share of hits and misses. According to the latest update on the Arizona Diamondbacks, second baseman Ketel Marte was placed on the injured list during the ongoing season. The official page of the Diamondbacks took to social media and made the announcement. The post mentioned about the latest roster moves, which stated

“We have made the following roster moves.”

Based on the Arizona Diamondbacks’ post, minor league baseball athlete Tim Tawa has been called to join the roster lineup in the absence of second baseman Ketel Martel. Tawa represents the Arizona Diamondbacks affiliated minor league team, Triple-A Reno.

After making 26 appearances with the minor league team Triple-A-Reno, Tim Tawa is gradually on his way to making a major league debut with the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 2025 MLB season. Over the years, even from his college days, Tim Tawa has played in multiple positions. His versatility needs no introduction, as he has even represented his team as a catcher too. His experience and dynamism would only add the much-needed depth to the Arizona Diamondbacks team roster lineup.

Ketel Marte gave a stellar performance against the Washington Nationals but went on to suffer a strain in his left hamstring and came around limping around the base. He understood the severity of the injury and instantly took the exit door from the game against the Washington Nationals on Friday. According to the Arizona Diamondbacks’ manager, Torey Lovullo, Marte would be moving ahead with his team to Arizona soon. The Silver Slugger recipient recently extended his association with the Diamondbacks up to 2031 for $116.5 million.

As of now, not much of an update has been given by the Arizona Diamondbacks with respect to Ketel Marte’s hamstring injury. Reportedly, his 2025 major league season has been good, but he is yet to secure a home run under his name.
