Aleister Black has made his return to WWE after being away from the company for four years.
Aleister Black had been a top fixture in WWE NXT a few years back. He left WWE in 2021 to join AEW under the ring name Malakai Black. However, he was recently released from the company and after weeks of cryptic vignettes, Black finally made his long rumored return to the global juggernaut.

On the SmackDown after WrestleMania 41, The Miz came out for an in-ring segment. The Awesome One expressed his frustrations with WWE for leaving him out of WrestleMania completely, despite being a former main eventer and having defeated John Cena, unlike Cody Rhodes, taking a shot at the American Nightmare.
The Miz continued to launch a verbal rant until the lights went out in the arena. The dark signs that had been seen in vignettes airing on SmackDown for weeks showed up. At that moment, the WWE Universe witnessed the resurgence of Aleister Black. The former NXT Champion had returned to the ring and, with a cold expression on his face, marched down to the ring.
The former leader of the House of Black entered the ring and stared down The Miz. Right after, he took down the former WWE Champion with his finisher, the Black Mass. He sat on the mat next to the fallen Miz and made a huge statement on his first night back in WWE. Later on in the night, his first match was announced. Next week on SmackDown, Black will face The Miz in singles action.
Aleister Black was brought back under the regime of Triple H, who had been a fan of his work back in WWE NXT. Interestingly, his return came on the same night his real-life wife, Zelina Vega, defeated Chelsea Green to win the WWE Women’s United States Championship, making it an extra special night for the couple. With Aleister Black finally back in the mix after the WrestleMania season, it will be interesting to see if he can achieve the heights of success that he has not so far in the professional wrestling industry.
