The NBA season has finally ended for the Golden State Warriors as they fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the playoffs. Head coach Steve Kerr has finally opened up about his plans to fit Jonathan Kuminga in better than he could this season. Kuminga was benched for long as he couldn’t fit well with Jimmy Butler after returning from a game-changing injury.

Steve Kerr’s plans for Jonathan Kuminga
Jonathan Kuminga’s contract is yet to be extended during the offseason, which makes him open to looking for other teams if he wishes to. If he stays, Kerr has shared his plans for the Warriors' power forward.

Kerr said, “If JK comes back, we will for sure spend the early part of the season playing him with Jimmy, Draymond, Steph. To me, that would be a no-brainer. We didn't have that luxury this year. We basically have been in the playoffs the minute we got Jimmy, and that was also when JK got hurt.”

“I thought he had a really good year. He was really coming into his own before he got hurt. The injury really hurt him. When he came back from the injury, he was not in rhythm; he was not the same player he was when he got hurt. That put an obstacle in our way when we're trying to get to the playoffs,” he added.

On the question of his own career plans, Kerr said, "At this point, I'm year to year. I love my job. It's so much fun. ... I loved every second of this year. I love my job. But I know where the team is, I know where the organization is. So I'm perfectly comfortable just going year by year at this point."

The season ended early for the Golden State Warriors as they were eliminated in the semi-finals. They had won Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, during which Stephen Curry got hurt.

However, despite Jimmy Butler doing all he could to raise the team’s confidence in Curry’s absence, the Warriors failed to win any of the next four games. Curry is currently recovering from his hamstring injury and was gearing up to return by Game 6 or later, but the Warriors were eliminated after losing Game 5.
