New Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet Prismatic Evolutions expansion to arrive in 2025: All details

A new expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game , Scarlet & Violet Prismatic Evolutions , will be released worldwide on January 17. The expansion will feature Eevee and its eight Evolutions as Stellar Tera Pokemon ex , along with unique special illustration rare cards and premium parallel cards with etched Poke Ball or Master Ball backgrounds.

Fans will be able to collect Elite Trainer Boxes and various collections featuring Eevee and its Evolutions. The expansion promises a variety of stunning art styles and effects on the cards. Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions will be available at participating retailers worldwide, including Pokemon Center.


Here are some of the cards that the expansion will include:

• Six ACE SPEC Trainer cards
  
• 10 Pokémon ex and 15 Tera Pokémon ex
  
• 12 ultra rare Supporter cards
  
• 32 special illustration rare Pokémon ex and Supporter cards
  
• Five hyper rare gold etched Pokémon ex cards

Additional products in the "Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions" expansion will be released later in 2025, including the "Super-Premium Collection" on May 16 and the "Premium Figure Collection" on September 26.

Starting January 16, 2025, fans can also play with the new expansion digitally through the "Pokémon TCG Live" app on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows. Players can unlock new cards for free via the Battle Pass and compete on a rebalanced Ranked Ladder .
