Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC is now official. The latest chip is the successor to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and it is built on TSMC's 4nm process. With a 64-bit architecture, the new chipset brings improved performance, on-device AI capabilities, and enhanced gaming and camera features.
According to Qualcomm , the latest chipset packs select Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and is said to deliver innovative AI capabilities, “including support for Gen AI assistants and popular large language models (LLMs) running directly on the device, with new-in-series stable diffusion image generation.”

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 includes a prime core clocked at 2.8GHz, four performance cores at 2.4GHz, and three efficiency cores at 1.8GHz. It integrates the Adreno GPU, Qualcomm Spectra ISP, and a Hexagon NPU supporting INT4, INT8, and INT16 precision.
Qualcomm claims that the chipset can deliver up to 27% faster CPU, 30% better GPU rendering, and 65% improved AI performance compared to its predecessor.
As mentioned, key features include support for Gen AI assistants and popular LLMs running on-device, AI-powered camera enhancements (auto focus, white balance, exposure), 4K HDR video capture at 30fps, and EIS.
