Bhubaneswar: CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday congratulated sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for being conferred with the ‘Fred Darrington' British Sand Master Award at Sand World 2025, an international sand art festival held in Weymouth, UK, for his 10-ft sculpture of Lord Ganesha, which symbolises the universal message of ‘world peace'. He is the first Indian to receive the honour.
"At the International Sand Art Festival held in Weymouth, he conveyed a message of peace through a massive 10-ft tall sculpture of Lord Ganesh. His contributions have further glorified the cultural heritage of our country and state on the global stage," Majhi posted on social media.TNN
