NEW DELHI: Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Thursday lashed out at Bihar's law and order situation and said that the morale of criminals is sky-high.
Talking about the Paras hospital incident , Paswan said that the attack is proof that the criminals are directly challenging the law and administration.
In a post on X, the food processing industries minister said, " Law and order in Bihar has become a serious concern today. Murders are happening every day, and the morale of criminals is sky-high. The functioning of the police and administration is beyond comprehension. The incident of criminals openly firing inside Paras Hospital, located in a residential area of Patna today, is proof that criminals are now directly challenging the law and administration."
" The rising criminal cases just before the Bihar Legislative Election are worrisome. It is hoped that the administration will soon take concrete and strict steps to bring law and order back on track," he added.
This is the third time that Chirag has criticised the law and order situation in Bihar and the comment came after his meeting with BJP president J P Nadda.
Earlier, on July 12, LJP MP criticised the Bihar's law and order situation and called it “beyond understanding”.
Chirag’s comments are the latest in a series of messages directed at the Nitish government since he announced his decision to contest the Bihar polls scheduled for later this year.
“How many Biharis will be murdered? It is beyond understanding what is the responsibility of Bihar Police?” the Hajipur MP wrote on X, hours after the killing of Sushila Devi, a 60-year-old hospital worker shot dead in Nalanda on Saturday morning.
