US President Donald Trump has launched a sharp rebuke of Israel’s conduct during the ongoing ceasefire, accusing both Israel and Iran of breaching the agreement and warning Tel Aviv against further escalation.
Trump reinforced his longstanding position on Iran’s nuclear ambitions and said, “Iran will never rebuild its nuclear program.”
Donald Trump said "I am not happy that Israel is going out now. There was one rocket that I guess was fired overboard, and it missed its target. Now Israel is going out. These guys gotta calm down. Ridiculous. I didn't like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal... That's not what we want..."
Posting a stern message on Truth Social, Trump said, "Israel. Do not drop those bombs. If you do it is a major violation. Bring your pilots home, now! Donald J Trump, President of the United States."
His post came amid reports that Israel had launched airstrikes in response to a missile fired from Iran. Reacting to the developments, Trump didn’t hold back.
“They’ve been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f**k they’re doing,” he said, referring to Israel’s military actions under the current ceasefire.
Speaking to reporters, Trump expressed clear dissatisfaction with both sides, saying, “I didn’t like that Israel ‘unloaded’ immediately after agreeing to a ceasefire,” and added, “I’m not happy with Iran either.”
He criticised both nations for failing to uphold the ceasefire terms, even as he downplayed the breach. When asked directly if the ceasefire had been officially broken, Trump responded, “I don’t think so.”
Meanwhile Donald trump in another post on truth social said, "ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly “Plane Wave” to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
Trump talking to reporters said, "They (Iran) violated, but Israel violated it too. As soon as we made the deal, Israel came out and dropped a load of bombs... We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f*** they’re doing."
Meanwhile, Donald Trump said he didn't want to see "regime change" in Iran amid its conflict with Israel, adding that it would cause "chaos."
"If there was, there was, but no I don't want it. I'd like to see everything calm down as quickly as possible," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. "Regime change takes chaos, and ideally we don't want to see so much chaos."
