A strong earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 6.5 struck the Tanimbar Islands region in Indonesia , the National Center for Seismology confirmed on Monday.
The quake took place at a shallow depth of 110 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties following the tremor.
