Former first lady Michell Obama once again bared her heart and reflected on how difficult it is to be married to a famous man as she spoke in her podcast with Dr Sharon Malone, wife of former Eric Holder who served as the 82nd attorney general from 2009 to 2015 under the presidency of Barack Obama. Malone, herself, is also famous as a doctor. The two famous women bonded over the overwhelming experience of being the non-famous partners, as people always gravitated towards their illustrious partners.
"They put us together because we were both reluctant spouses attending one of these huge dinners," Obama said. "And what, where were they… was Barack a US senator?"
"Yes, he was a senator because you, you were still living in Chicago and Eric was in private practice," Malone said. "So it was just, it was very early days."
"There was a line of people waiting to shake hands with our respective husbands," Michelle said. "You know, people, like, reaching over our heads and spilling water on us, trying to get to these two, you know, illustrious men."
Michelle said when she saw Malone across the table, she understood that Malone was a kindred spirit going through the same thing. " "She had the same look on her face as I did, like, ‘Here we go,'" Michelle said.
Michelle Obama has been dominating the headlines amid speculations of their divorce that she put to rest, though she did not dither from sharing the hardships of their marriage in her podcast that she co-hosts with her brother. Michelle extensively spoke about why she missed Donald Trump's inauguration -- which triggered the speculations of divorce. She said she was tired of always doing the right thing, and it had nothing to do with her fight with Barack Obama.
The Obamas were spotted together for a date night in New York City on Tuesday evening -- after almost a month.
