Just hours after the US targeted three of Iran’s nuclear facilities, Tehran launched a wave of missiles at Israel on Sunday that left 86 injured.
A separate video showed damaged buildings and apartment complexes with smoke rising above them.
Vehicles on the streets were parked chaotically, indicating that residents may have hurried to take shelter during the missile barrage.
The latest barrage came hours after Trump had described the US strikes as a "great military success" on Iran’s nuclear program and warned Tehran of “far greater” consequences if it continued its aggression against Israel.
According to Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency service, buildings and vehicles were damaged in the attack, with smoke still visible at the scene. “There was a massive explosion. Everything shook. I don’t know what happened," a witness told The Times of Israel.
Among the injured, two are in moderate condition, including a 30-year-old man with shrapnel wounds to his upper body, while 77 are in good condition.
Four individuals are being treated for acute anxiety, and three others are undergoing medical evaluation, with their condition yet to be determined.
Iran said that its missiles targeted multiple strategic sites, including Ben Gurion Airport. A building in central Israel was confirmed to have been hit during the second wave of Iranian strikes.
