iQOO Z10x 5G Review: A Reliable All-Rounder in the Budget Segment

Send Push

The iQOO Z10x 5G enters the crowded sub-₹15,000 category with a mix of power, practicality, and premium features rarely seen at this price. From a 6,500mAh battery and UFS 3.1 storage to a Dimensity 7300 processor and 120Hz Full HD+ display, the Z10x hits the sweet spot for budget-conscious buyers seeking performance without compromise. After extended hands-on usage, here’s a breakdown of where the phone excels—and where it falls short.

Design & Unboxing: Familiar Yet Functional

The Z10x ships with a 44W fast charger, USB Type-A to C cable, clear case, and standard documentation. The device itself sports a dual-texture plastic back—glossy around the camera module and matte elsewhere—helping manage smudges. Although fully plastic, the design remains sleek and minimal, albeit with sharp edges that reduce in-hand comfort.

The layout is practical, with the power button doubling as a fingerprint scanner. The design echoes the Vivo T4x, which it essentially rebadges—but at a slightly lower price.

Display: Smooth but Not AMOLED-Smooth

The 6.72-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display supports 120Hz refresh rate and peaks at 1050 nits. While smooth and vibrant for the price, it lacks the rich contrast and punch of AMOLED panels seen in close competitors like the Infinix Note 50s. Outdoor visibility also suffers due to reflective glare.

Dual stereo speakers and a software audio booster enhance media consumption, though audio clarity at higher volumes could be better.

Performance: Punchy for the Price

Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 (4nm) with UFS 3.1 storage, the Z10x handles everyday tasks and light gaming with ease.

Benchmark scores:

  • AnTuTu: 6,24,994

  • Geekbench 6: 1019 (single-core), 2756 (multi-core)

  • 3DMark Wild Life Stress Test: 99.5% stability

In games like BGMI and COD Mobile, the Z10x supports medium to high settings but does not enable 90fps—expected at this price point. Thermals remain in control, with no significant overheating during extended gaming.

Camera: Solid for Daylight, Average for Selfies
  • Rear: 50MP main + 2MP depth

  • Front: 8MP selfie shooter

  • Video: Up to 4K @30fps (rear), 1080p @30fps (front)

Daylight shots are pleasant and warm, while low-light performance is surprisingly capable—though bright light sources can create flares. Selfies disappoint with soft textures and inaccurate skin tones, especially in dim lighting.

Software and Battery: Big Capacity, Better Longevity

The Z10x runs Funtouch OS (Android 15), with a 2-year OS update and 3-year security patch promise. While still not free of bloatware and unsolicited app suggestions, most of it can be disabled during setup.

The 6,500mAh battery offers stellar endurance, easily lasting 1.5 to 2 days. The bundled 44W charger takes about 75 minutes for a full charge.

Verdict: Is the iQOO Z10x 5G Worth It?

At under ₹15,000, the iQOO Z10x stands out as a balanced performer. It combines power-efficient hardware, ample battery, UFS 3.1 storage, and a smooth display, making it a compelling choice for budget buyers. While it cuts corners on build material and display tech, and the selfie camera needs work, the overall value proposition is strong.

If you’re looking for a phone that delivers consistency, battery life, and performance, the iQOO Z10x 5G is easy to recommend—especially for non-AMOLED loyalists.
