Security Tightened at Galaxy Apartments After Threat Message Sent to Traffic Police WhatsApp Group

MUMBAI — April 14, 2025 — Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has once again come under threat, prompting heightened police security at his Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments. Mumbai Police went on high alert after a threatening message claimed plans to bomb the actor’s car and launch a violent attack on his home.

Threat Sent via WhatsApp Group

The disturbing message was reportedly sent to a Mumbai Traffic Police WhatsApp group, warning that the actor would be killed and his vehicle blown up with explosives. Authorities have registered a case against an unidentified individual, and a manhunt is currently underway to trace the source of the message.

Following the threat, Mumbai Police immediately reviewed and tightened security at Khan’s residence. The actor and his family have been advised to remain within the police protection framework while the investigation continues.

Series of Threats Linked to Bishnoi Gang

This incident marks the fifth death threat against the actor in the past two years. In a 2023 shooting incident, assailants allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence. His father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, has also received similar threats.

Last year, Mumbai Police uncovered a plot to assassinate the actor at his Panvel farmhouse. According to reports, gang members had been tracking his movements and planned to execute the attack upon his arrival at the property.

Currently, cyber and anti-terror units are tracking call records and digital footprints to locate the suspect behind this latest threat.
