Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Common Admission Services ( G-CAS ) portal has been reopened to allow students to register for admissions to vacant seats in various colleges and courses.
The decision comes following the completion of the admission process, which has left many seats unfilled in programmes like Commerce, Arts and BBA-BCA, despite student interest. Sources said that several students could not apply for admissions as the registration window was closed.
The Gujarat University made a representation to the state govt regarding this issue, leading to the reopening of the portal. Students who wish to take admission to courses with vacant seats can register on G-CAS until 6pm on Sep 25. Those students who had been given admission but had not registered on G-CAS can complete their registration during this time.
Students who wish to cancel their admission will also be allowed to apply for cancellation.
