Despite being forced off during with an injury concern, has met up with his Argentina teammates ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia.

The midfielder was considered a doubt for the international break after picking up a groin problem at Selhurst Park, with admitting he for his country. after the game: “I felt a slight discomfort during the game, but nothing that will stop me. Now fully focused on what’s ahead.”

The 25-year-old has since posted again on social media, showing himself reporting for Argentina duty in Miami. His fitness is still unknown at the moment, although he might have bigger concerns than his injury at the moment.

The reigning world champions are using Inter Miami’s facilities in Fort Lauderdale before they travel for their first game against Venezuela on Thursday. The choice of training ground would certainly have gone down well with , who has rejoined the Argentina setup for the first time since winning the Copa America in July.

West-central Florida though is currently bracing for Hurricane Milton, with Miami mayor Francis Suarez declaring a state of emergency for the city on Monday due to potential heavy rain and flooding.

Argentina is monitoring the path of the hurricane, which strengthened into a Category 5 storm on Monday, as it threatens to disrupt their travel plans. Forecasters have predicted it will approach the Gulf Coast of Florida on Wednesday, the same day the team plans to travel to Venezuela.

Argentina currently leads the standings for CONMEBOL’s World Cup qualification, having taken 18 points from their first eight games, and looks well on course to book their place in the 2026 tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Liverpool.com says: If Liverpool fans were concerned about Mac Allister heading on international duty while carrying an injury before, this news wouldn’t have eased their worries. Miami has perhaps been selected as a training base to cut down travel time for players making their way over from Europe, and probably because Messi is already there, but it does seem strange that the plans haven’t been changed amid the hurricane.

Fingers crossed Argentina can get to Venezuela as planned, and let’s hope Mac Allister, his teammates and everyone in Miami stays safe.
